crossfire recognition problems

This is a discussion about crossfire recognition problems in the Windows Hardware category; Just bought a P5K Deluxe motherboard and 2 Sapphire x1950pro 512MB crossfire ready video cards. cpu is an intel 6850 dual core. I'm running the new 7. 8 drivers and catalyst control center and also ati tray tools.

Just bought a P5K Deluxe motherboard and 2 Sapphire x1950pro 512MB crossfire ready video cards. cpu is an intel 6850 dual core.
I'm running the new 7.8 drivers and catalyst control center and also ati tray tools.
The crossfire is not recognized in either control center and I have none of the aa or other settings you should get in crossfire mode.
I have downloaded the latest motherboard bios and installed it.
Does anyone know if there are bios adjustments or windows adjustments to fix this. Am running a dual boot system with XP Pro and Vista. Would be happy to get it running in either system.
I also have the crossfire bridge attachments between the 2 cards.
