CUSL2, Yamaha 4416s & Win2k
OK, I've just slammed together the latest and greatest PC for my use. The CUSL2 is a nice bit of kit (Cheers to all who recommended it in my last thread) I have however now hit a slight problem. My Yamaha 4416s CD-RW was working fine before this upgrade.
OK,
I've just slammed together the latest and greatest PC for my use.
The CUSL2 is a nice bit of kit (Cheers to all who recommended it in my last thread)
I have however now hit a slight problem.
My Yamaha 4416s CD-RW was working fine before this upgrade.
In fact the last thing I did before the upgrade was to backup my data to CD.
After I installed the new MB I decided on a nice fresh clean install of Win2k.
My CD-RW is now not functioning at all.
It is detected at boot up along with my other SCSI devices.
The orange light stays on the front (as it should with the Yamaha)
But it simply refuses to read any CD i put in.
That's CD-R's, CD-RW's, retail CD's, games etc.
It might just be coincidence and the drive has gone faulty (don't have access to another SCSI system at the moment to test it)
Anybody have any other ideas?
