D915pbl can not install video card. does NOT recognise as in machine
This is a discussion about D915pbl can not install video card. does NOT recognise as in machine in the Windows Hardware category; I recently bought an intel D915PBL motherboard and a new Pent 4 630 processor which has HT. i have an my old video card an ATI FX5500 128mb card. The machine will not recognise this video card, i think.
I recently bought an intel D915PBL motherboard and a new Pent 4 630 processor which has HT. i have an my old video card an ATI FX5500 128mb card. The machine will not recognise this video card, i think . I have the original driver CD and it will not run as it says no hardware can be found for those drivers.
instead when i check (devise manager and choose the video adapter and thenproperties) it has a has a generic video adapter but something like SuperVGA or something along that line ( sorry i did not write it down ) i was up till 3 am checking.
can anyone help?

What operating system are you using? Have you checked ATI's website for a driver for the OS you are using?
