Default IP address not working with AP.

This is a discussion about Default IP address not working with AP. in the Windows Networking category; Okay, I'm trying to install another access point. A Compaq WL410. Yeah, it's not so new, but it should work well enough. My problem is that I cna't access it with the AP Manager using it's default IP address.

My problem is that I cna't access it with the AP Manager using it's default IP address. So I'm lost. What can I do to find out if it doesn't work, or if it simply has a different IP address?

Thanks a lot for any replies.

You could connect it to a stand-alone PC and run an IP scanner, or you could just perform a hard reset on the device and use the default IP address.

OP
The only IP scanner I could find was a shareware program that only scans a specified range of IP addresses.

Could you point me in the direction of a decent one?

Thanks.
