Dell Dimension 2400 Problems
This is a discussion about Dell Dimension 2400 Problems in the Windows Hardware category; Friend has a dell dimension 2400 and it wont turn on,i took the side case off and pluged in the power cord and then pluged in for the internet. then started to hook up the monitor and it was very loose where you screw in for it to stay in tight.
Friend has a dell dimension 2400 and it wont turn on,i took the side case off and pluged in the power cord and then pluged in for the internet. then started to hook up the monitor and it was very loose where you screw in for it to stay in tight. i tried to tighten it but it just spins. the lights come on for the internet and the green light comes on i guess to show power . i even pulled out the button the turns on the computer and pressed it but nothing comes on not even the fans or anything like that could the video plugin fried the motherboard ??????

Do you hear any sound from the integrated speaker?
a long continius beep?
If not any of the fans goes online, i would guess it was the PSU, since fans should work if the motherboard failed.
Are you sure the power connection is plugged in the motherboard?
Have you tried to contact dell support?
