Dell Hardware

This is a discussion about Dell Hardware in the Windows Hardware category; I have a dell demension 4400 the motherboard recently died. I've read the many problems encountered in trying to upgrade or replace with a non dell mo bo. If I wanted to build a new system (new case, power supply, mobo) can I easily use my dell drives etc.

If I wanted to build a new system (new case, power supply, mobo) can I easily use my dell drives etc... without compatibility issues?

Thanks

The only drive/drives that may require some fudging are the floppy and sometimes the CD-RW/DVD-Reader due to the Dell case design. They don't always come with a standard faceplate or none at all as the front of the case cover does this function

The drive/drives themselves will still function, just may not look as good without the proper face plate is all.
