Dells Proprietary components?
This is a discussion about Dells Proprietary components? in the Windows Hardware category; I have a dell 4550 (crap machine but hell i got it for free) and i have just moved it to a new case. The motherboard has standard ATX mounting holes and standard ATX 20pin power supply connector, but the front usb, and power switch ports are on a weird 20pin(give or take) ribbon cable connector.

If anybody has done this, how exactly would i connect a power and reset switch to the motherboard. I have pics if anyone needs them.

Do you still have the original Dell Case. I have the same problem
I need the pinouts as well. if you have the original case send me a picture of the power switch ribbon cable and I will try to match cables
