...got Delta Force & Delta Force 2(both run on LAN/IPX), plus- 1/ 2 computers running Win 2000 Pro; 2/ 2 network cards(a=10mbps RJ45, b=10/100 RJ45) 3/ RJ45 crossed cable(no hub) 4/ 2 default Local Area connections (installed by the OS during setup) 5/ IPX,TCP/IP,etc.installed as I sometimes transfer files (success ...

...got Delta Force & Delta Force 2(both run on LAN/IPX), plus-
 
1/ 2 computers running Win 2000 Pro;
2/ 2 network cards(a=10mbps RJ45, b=10/100 RJ45)
3/ RJ45 crossed cable(no hub)
4/ 2 default Local Area connections (installed by the OS during setup)
5/ IPX,TCP/IP,etc.installed as I sometimes transfer files (successfully !!)
6/ Latest 3Com & D-link drivers
7/ No firewall software
 
The multiplayer game starts fine on the host machine with the CD;when the client tries to join the multiplayer game,it crashes with the error message "cannot create player-server may be full"
Delta Force runs fine on the seial cable multiplayer option-DF2 lacks serial play.
Any pointers on creating an additional Delta Force specific LAN connection/configuring my existing connection/plain ol' solution ??
 
Novalogic's phone support was baffled; no replies to my e-mails over 2 weeeks.
