Det 6.62 WHQL vs 7.17 and DX8???
We all know by now, that the 7. 17 Det drivers for Win2K ARE DX8 compatable. But now a newer 6. 62 driver (with a more recent file date) is out, and is even WHQL certified. Is this also DX8 aware too? Anyone try them? Cause I am having a lot of hesitation in Mechwarrior 4 and wonder if it might be the video drivers ...

I just tried them out,
Acutally they are great in gaming only.
I tested them on 3d Mark and the differnce is very big. I have a PIII 450 w/ Geforce 2 MX.
I usually get around 2400-2600, but this time i got 3278. It was very nice.
But I wont recommend it to any once since i reverted back to the original 6.31. Why?
The mouse becomes jerky on times. There is dos screen with a cursor blinking before 3d graphics start.
