I downloaded the demo of dues ex2 and went to play it the screen goes blank and a message comes on up saying you need a 3d with PIXEL SHADER 1. 1 or greater to run this demo i would have thought my GE-FORCE 2Ti would be good enough to run deus ex 2 i surpose i will have to up grade now to a bigger card chee ...

You need a graphics card with pixel shader support and its only on GeForce3/4Ti/FX series and Radeon 8500+ cards. No GF2 card or GF4MX cards has it.
I don't care what people think of me for saying this, but this is one game I'll be appropriating by alternative means before deciding whether or not I should rationalise expenditure on it.

I wouldn't upgrade for this game m8.
It runs like a dog on most systems.
Very very poor console port.

Most console ports are poor - look at Halo - piece of CRAP!
a high end system does not help either - it was just poorly done!
i was not impressed with the first Deus so i would not upgrade for it - actually i am not likely to upgrade for any 1 game - maybe if 2 or 3 come out then maybe, but otherwise nope.

Doom III specs are likely going to be hihgly over rated as i saw one some palce the min rquie are still a pIII
but that does not mena it will not run very good
the main factor will be if you have a COMPLETE DX9 support card - so if you have an FX line card - you are screwed! no matter what and no dirvers from nvidia will save your butt!
if u got a new gen ATi - you will be able to play the game fine.
