DHCP server not authorizing in Server 2003
This is a discussion about DHCP server not authorizing in Server 2003 in the Windows Networking category; I have added the server to the domain, added as a member server but everytime I authorize it it says to wait a few moments for the authorization. Under the DHCP panel it shows the server as being not authorized but when I go to the Action menu to authorize it the authorize option says unauthorize? Can anyone help me?.

Try this:
1) Open DHCP.
2) In the console tree, click DHCP.
3) On the Action menu, click Manage authorized servers.
4) The Manage Authorized Servers dialog box appears.
5) Click Authorize.
6) When prompted, type the name or IP address of the DHCP server to be authorized, and then click OK.
Have you created any scopes before you try to authorize it?

OP
I have tried that process it still says not authorized. And, when I attempt to try to authorize it, it says Unauthorize where the authorize option normally is on the action menu. Yes a scope was created before it was I tried to authorize it, also tried authorizing then creating the scope both ways end up with my dilema.
I have come accross the same problem. Have you had any luck in resolving it? Your's is the first even closely related to what I have seen. Thanks.
