Diablo II and multiplayer, Please help!

Why is diablo unable to connect ot any server when running under win2k? I can make a server and everyone is able to join and singleplayer works great. When I try to connect to b. net it stops when verifying versions.

Why is diablo unable to connect ot any server when running under win2k? I can make a server and everyone is able to join and singleplayer works great. When I try to connect to b.net it stops when "verifying versions". It just keeps on verifying versions....When I try to connect to a LAN server it after a while jumps back to the desktop and I have a error message infront of me...whats wrong? It works under Win98, but I love my Win2k, and would be really pleased if someone could help me getting this to work.
