I Downloaded Direct X 9.0c from www.microsoft.com/windows/directX/ but im not sure I extracted the files to the right place b/c I run the setup and it says there ready for use but my card still says Direct X 9.0 or better, and I extracted the files to
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DirectX\Dinput\ I am not sure if this correct or not. any ideas anyone?

I am not sure what DirectX you are using. You can get two different "kinds" - directX end user: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...;displaylang=en or the DirectX with SDK included (there is a December update).
Both are executibles. You shouldn't have to "extract" them at all. In some of Microsofts installations it requires you to choose a subdirectory to install a program - normally this is to a temp file.
