This is a discussion about Direct X problem in the Everything New Technology category; Hello When I trying play Need for speed 5. I get a error message You have Dirext0. Please install DirectX 7. I have Windows XP and my display adapter is Matrox Graphics Productiva G100 AGP. . . . Please help me.

Did you try to install dx8.1 or SP1?

What happens when you run dxdiag?
