DirectX for W2K?

This is a discussion about DirectX for W2K? in the Windows Hardware category; Hello. I new with W2K and want to know. . . Should I use directx7 or 8 for CS? What referense driver should I use with TNT2? /Jimmy.

Since your TNT2 won't take advantage of DirectX 8, you might as well stick with 7. You won't see any difference between the two. And I don't think CS implements any of the DirectX 8 features, either.

First off, put win98SE on.
Then, use 5.32 Dets.
With DX8 xxxxxx.0400
(Windows Update for latest dx)
THEN CS will fly, like mine.
