Disk Cleanup slow with NTFS/W2K
I have noticed that the Disk Cleanup utility is extremely slow when using NTFS compared to FAT32 on Windows 2000 Pro. It seems to hang or take a long time when searching for old files to compress. Is this normal for NTFS? Is there a way to disable searching for old files to compress, I don't compress them anyway.

My file transfers also "seem" to be slower.. transferring data from a CD to the HDD is slower than burning the same data to the CD.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

All I know is that's slow and I never bothered to look for a fix if there was one. Basically, run it and go do something else for awhile.
