This is a discussion about Disk Keeper 6 in the Windows Software category; Someone was telling me there was mention on this site about a patch for Disk Keeper 6 to work on XP. Does anyone know where that info is? Their main site has no mention of that. .

6 SE screwed up my system (NTFS) when I did a boot-time defrag, I don´t think it has support for NTFS 5.1 which Win XP uses.

don't use boot-time defrag if you are using 6 SE...

Has 6 Se support for NTFS 5.1?
Can I use 6 SE with regular defrag on the NTFS 5.1 format?

7.0.393 is out but there's also a patch for 6.0 (it's something like 6.01) so it will work in XP. I used it and it does work but now I'm using 7.x

sorry, it should be MFT Master File Table...
SpeedDisk usually will frag the MFT in 2 or 3 pieces.. this could hurt the disk performance
