Basically I'm wondering how soon you can order a computer with OEM XP preinstalled.

Yes, and according to articles (can't remember where), MS had a ceremony on Friday where Bill Gates handed gold disks containing Windows XP RTM code to their favoured resellers (Dell, Compaq etc.)

I've installed the final version... and I have mixed feelings.
It's gonna take some getting used to for me, but first things first.. turn off all the extra garbage, and tell all the Wizards that I'm no dummy... so they leave me alone.
Gonna start really testing it tonight.
