Or, if you wanna get really paranoid, could this be MS's attempt to scare ppl off of doing it? LOL, just kidding - would be funny if it was though.
Besides I thought that Xbox CD's only worked on the Xbox CD.
Yeah, but considering the Xbox is powered by the NForce, it could be rather easy to make the transition to a full blown PC.
Which is exactly why M$ are doing everything in their power to prevent it. For instance, the Xbox controller interface is inherently USB but M$ use a non-standard connector to prevent the connection of regular USB peripherals like keyboards and mice.
Its kinda usb with extra power connections. I assume thats for stuff like the rumble pack thingy and mem cards etc
