This is a discussion about Driver in the Windows Games category; I can't get Driver to work at all. When clicking the icon, a message box appears that tells me that XP can't run the game. I've tried all the compatibilty modes, but without success. . . Any ideas?.

Yeah...won't lose any sleep over it or anything, just annoying, as MS's original blurb about XP: "You can even run all your existing software on it."

What is the specific error message?
Driver does work in WinXP - check your Direct3D settings.
Well, i have been trying to get Driver to work on XP for some time now....its such a nice game....there is a way to make it work: install Driver as usual, update it with the US 1.3 patch this will actually work...however the menu and game are soooooooooo slow using USB keyboard and controller (Freestyle), anything connected on the gameport seems to work... i am waiting for Driver 2, i guess
