Hollywood+ driver installation

This is a discussion about Hollywood+ driver installation in the Windows Hardware category; I just purchased the Hollywood+ DVD Decoder card, downloaded the beta drivers from RealMagic, followed all the installation instructions, and I get an error during the file copy process saying that it can't find the specified file.

I just purchased the Hollywood+ DVD Decoder card, downloaded the beta drivers from RealMagic, followed all the installation instructions, and I get an error during the file copy process saying that it can't find the specified file. However, there is no file specified for me to know where the problem is. No matter what I do, I either get this error, or I get a blue screen stop error. Believe me, I've tried everything - setting PnP BIOS to OFF, redownloading the drivers, manually uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing.

Wierd, I got me one of those cards,(they are sweet as hell)You did install the drivers for the card first then install the apps right? I had no problems with the card. Try changing PCI slots.

I had a similar problem with mine many moons ago when installing it under Windows 98.

Try changing to PCI slot its in, as thats what I found worked, and haven't had trouble since, either with Win98 or Win2k
