Dual AMD with other than MP cpus?

This is a discussion about Dual AMD with other than MP cpus? in the Slack Space category; Anybody seen any links besides Anandtech regarding AMD cpus in dual? Just wondering how the regular 1. 4Ghz do in SMP compared to the MP versions or the P4 1. 7Ghz. .

Well, if 1 1.4 AMD smacks the 1.7 P4 around, imagine what 2 will do

If you're going dual, go for AMD. wait a month or 2 if you can---the MPX boards to come out.
no(or less) propriety

OP
Well, should know the answer to my question of whether this works by Sunday (assuming that the Tiger S2460 arrives on Friday as promised) since I have 2 1.4Ghz Non-MP Athlons to try in it.

It'll probably work, however, the Morgan and Palimino cores were specifically guaranteed to work in SMP. AMD has had SMP chips as old as the K-5's, but there was never a chipset to support this, therefore we have no idea how it would've worked out.
Anandtech had good luck with dual non-MP's, I read.

Probably want to check out 2Cpu.com
