dual monitor power options
This is a discussion about dual monitor power options in the Windows Hardware category; I am running win2000 with an asus tnt2 ultra agp video card and a matrox pci video card with 2 monitors. I want the monitors to turn off after 20 mins of inactivity. I have set this in the power options, but only one monitor turns off (the one connected to the matrox card).
I am running win2000 with an asus tnt2 ultra agp video card and a matrox pci video card with 2 monitors. I want the monitors to turn off after 20 mins of inactivity. I have set this in the power options, but only one monitor turns off (the one connected to the matrox card). Both monitors support the feature as I can swap the monitors to the other card. The option to set the monitor type is greyed out for the primary monitor, could this have something to do with it.

Got a screen saver running? If so, disable that and see if it does your bidding.

I do not have a screen saver running. It used to work fine, I am going to try reinstalling win2k to see if that helps.
