Dual Vid Card
This is a discussion about Dual Vid Card in the Windows Hardware category; Helping a friend put together a computer and he wants dual monitors. A good video card that wont cost alot that supports dual head is???? I placed out n ATI RADEON VE DUAL DISPLAY (VGA & DVI) 32MB AGP and all he needs is a dvi-vga adapter but hes got a 19 and wants high res.

but hes got a 19" and wants high res....is this the best way to go?
He wants to play games also....d2 especially....and I know that will run it, q3 or something.
Havent been in the dual head market...just askin opinions.

Matrox G450 is a good bet for dual head, and I haven't heard about a refresh rate cap at 60Hz. Not sure about the gaming tho.
Look at GF2MX TwinView cards too, I know Leadtek has one out, but beyond that...I don't know.
I'm not sure how well your buddy wants his gaming to be, but if his expectations aren't too high, the G450 may pass the test for him.
