Dungeon Siege

Well today is Dungeon Siege release day here in the UK. The good old boys at EB had it waiting for me when I woke up this morning, unfortunately I've had to go through a day of work before I've been able to play it Grrrr.

Well today is Dungeon Siege release day here in the UK.
The good old boys at EB had it waiting for me when I woke up this morning, unfortunately I've had to go through a day of work before I've been able to play it Grrrr.

Anyway, been playing it for a couple of hours now and all I can see is it's excellent.
This is certainly hitting me as a Diablo killer, it just looks amazing, the scenery is great and really well drawn.
Gameplay is good with sub-quests as well as the standard hack & slash.
Hopefully some time next week me and a couple of friends will be playing a LAN game which also reports as great fun.

So, if you enjoyed Diablo & Diablo II then I can certainly recommend you spend some of your hard earnt cash on this game, it really is great.
Look at that, two great games within weeks of each other, JK2 & DS, nect game for me GTA3 out in about a month.

What do you other Dungeon Siege players think of it?

Same here, bought it yesterday, had to wait all day until I could play it!

Personally (and after only playing for a couple of hours), I think it kicks the arse of both Diablo games. I especially like the idea that you're not limited to one particular class of character - if spells are your thing, you can increase levels in magic, but then if you decide you want to do a bit of hacking 'n' slashing, then there's nothing to stop you changing and increasing levels in fighting - or even then going back to increase magic levels! Although, I imagine this would get more difficult as the game goes on...

The next game on the horizon for me is Neverwinter Nights - only a couple of months to go...allegedly!
