DVD Decoder

This is a discussion about DVD Decoder in the Windows Hardware category; i had a dxr3 wich has now gone up the spout, are there any others out there that i could replace it with? I am not looking for a sigma designs as they cost too much. If not is there anyway to get a software player to output dolby digital through my Live card in windows 2000? and which software would this be? Thanks ...

cost too much?? I got my hollywood+ 2 years ago for less than $100. Anyway i dont know of any other hardware decoding cards besides the hollywood+ i mean the DXR3 is pretty much a CL version of it. As for software the best software DVD player is PowerDVD.
