none other hardware should be necessary. except of course for the data and power cables (and those should already be in your box ).

The only hardware that might be nessary is Hardware DVD Decoder(that is if you have an old video card). You might want to get a good Software DVD player like WinDVD or PowerDVD.

If it is internal drive then you need an empty bay. External DVD drives require an USB port (preferably 2.0) and separate power supply.
