I installed the beta over the weekend - 800Mb download, followed by a further 300Mb patch process!
Started playing, only to have my character wiped (apparently the last pwipe before the games goes live) after a couple of hours! I like the idea of the Founders Federation though (all beta testers that create characters between now and when the game goes live become members of the Founders Federation, and get a cool decal to put on their ship), and hope they do some more with it in the future...
I have to say it looks a lot better than EQ, can't comment on gameplay yet, haven't really got beyond the training missions yet. I like the idea that you don't just get experience for killing things (which, after all, can get a bit boring after a while )
