earthlink dsl in win2k

This is a discussion about earthlink dsl in win2k in the Windows Hardware category; hi i was wondering if anyone else in here has ever tried using there earthlink dsl service with win2k. i am considering using win 2k instead of 98 but the connection software that you have to run with earthlinks dsl doesnt support it.

hi i was wondering if anyone else in here has ever tried using there earthlink dsl service with win2k. i am considering using win 2k instead of 98 but the connection software that you have to run with earthlinks dsl doesnt support it . iknow there is a workaround by using raspppoe instead so i was wondering if any one knows where i can get full completle instructions on how to do that. thanks

Winpoet 2.0 works in Windows 2000. That is what one of my clients is using on Win2K server and it works well enough. Earthlink drops connection often, so I use KeepRAS or similar programs to keep pinging things.
 
So far, WinPoet and Win2K for Earthlink supports VPN in and out, and ICS for internet sharing. I have not been successful in configuring the win2k server NAT using it though.
 
If anyone has suggestions for that, I'd sure appreciate it.
