Hope this isnt too far-fetched: Hi everyone! I am trying tofigure out the main difference between Linux OS and Embedded Linux. As far as i have read several articles, i couldnt determine whether or not embedded linux is capable of making an x86 processor work like a complete Linux OS can.

I am trying tofigure out the main difference between Linux OS and Embedded Linux.
As far as i have read several articles, i couldnt determine whether or not embedded linux is capable of making an x86 processor work like a complete Linux OS can. Based on the fact that Embedded Linux kernel is just a trimmed Linux OS Kernel, i am thinking that it is possible, but there might be some other issues that i haven't stumbled upon.
