Emulator Troubles.

I'm trying to get my Mupen64 Emulator to run on t he school computers, but I keep having different error messages. the computers run Windows XP, and use Novell Client for windows to log in. So far I've got some progress though running XP in Safe Mode, so I don't have to worry about the Novell Client Log In.

The Errors I've come by Are linked to DDRAW.dll, Kernel32.dll, and video plugins.
This is the DDRAW.dll Error:

This pops up many times when I open, close, and try to run a ROM.
I fixed this by downloading DDRAW.dll and putting it into the MUPEN64 program file. But this caused another problem: Mupen can't identify the Video Plugins:
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Nine_Ball/Novideoplugin.jpg Also, I get another popup with kernel32.dll: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Nine_Ball/errormessage.jpg
This is where I am stuck. I've downloaded Kernel32.dll and put it into the MUPEN64 folder, but I get the same message.
If I take out DDRAW.dll, The popup involving not being able to find DDRAW.dll will come up, and Mupen64 can identify the video plugins: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Nine_Ball/videoplugin.jpg

I'm not sure if this makes sense to anyone out there, but Hopefully someone can give a little help.

also, does anyone know of another N64 Emulator that I might have less trouble with?

I sounds as if you have an older version of DirectX installed. Install DirectX 9.0c for the program to work.

Run DXDIAG to see what video card and DirectX version you have, ideally the computers should have SP2 installed (SP1 is too old).

Thanks, I'll be sure to check that as soon as I get to school tomorrow.

I use Project64 at my home computer, But At the school computer, I get somewhat different Errors about configuring the HAL3D videocard or something like that. Idealy, I'd rather use PJ64, but Mupen is the one that I've gotten the farthest with.

A Little Update:

I ran DXDIAG on the computer, and It seems they have XPSP1, and Direct X 8.1.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Nine_Ball/DXDIAG.jpg
This shows the DXDIAG screen. If theres anything else you guys can gather from that, feel free.

I downloaded DirectX 9.0c, but when I run the setup for it, It takes forever to even initialize. It just stays on this screen: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/Nine_Ball/takingforever.jpg for about 20 minutes before I end up closing it using Task Manager (It goes all "Not Responding" and such).

Any ideas on making this quicker? I've only 50 minutes per class, and I have two classes (separated) to do this.

Have you tried installing it in regular mode, not in safe mode?

I can't get into regular mode because of the Novell Client Log in. That blocks the start menu and Windows Installer.
