I had the same problem, too. Had to check several web sites until I found that link: ftp://ftp.epson.com.au/pub/epson/drivers/win2000/twain%2034.zip . This is the Win2k Twain driver for the 7000 SCSI scanner, but it works with XP, too.
If you´re looking for other drivers, check http://tech.epson.com.au/downloads/downloads_categories.html?

Hi
The hard disk of my W2000 PC was recently replaced and now my PC is a XP.
I have a Epson GT7000 SCSI scanner and I have downloaded the driver in the mail above but I'm getting the following error message
"The file 'scsimap.sys' on (unkown) is needed
Type the path where the file is located and then click OK"
I believe I have pointed it at the correct file, (the one above)but get the same error.

When I Googled 'scsimap.sys' it came up with a load of sites but the best one mentioned trying VueScan to make your scanner work with XP. Try it out and see if it works. It has a free trial.
