External Firewire Bridge Boards

This is a discussion about External Firewire Bridge Boards in the Windows Hardware category; OK, I need some recommendations here as I'm attempting to cobble together some inexpensive external storage via Firewire. I've found a few vendors of external Firewire chassis' that can hold up to 8 drives and connect via a cable to your main box.

I've found a few vendors of external Firewire chassis' that can hold up to 8 drives and connect via a cable to your main box. All of these come with a bridge card that can connect up to 2 drives, basically it's a Firewire-ATA bridge that works with a MAS-SLA config, ooops can I still say this

Anyways, I was thinking couldn't I just purchase a bridge card or two and use some extra FULL Tower cases I have lying around ?!? Yes I could but I'm having problems locating the bridge boards themselves. It appears that nobobdy wants to sell them seperately, most likely due to the fact they can get higher margins in selling it with the chassis

So if anybody has a line on these, please let me know, thanks
