extracting password from XP pro dialup connection?
This is a discussion about extracting password from XP pro dialup connection? in the Windows Software category; hi guys. . . i've got a connection for a dial up account on my laptop, but the password is saved and i cant see it, and i dont remembre the pass. . . And I need it for another computer. Is there a way to extract the password from the connection somehow? Thx.

hmmm lol.. duh, i didnt tihnk about asking my ISP... i'd probably just have them change it since the damn thing was hard to remember anyway.
That software didnt work... I drag the cursor from the keys icon over the password box and nothing happens... no password shows.
Oh well I will just call my ISP. Thanks.

it does not work for DUN because DUN uses some kind of different window than most standard utils do. I have one of those password revealers, and it states that you can't recover DUN passwords
L0phtCrack might be able to recover it, but last version I used could only recover OS user account passwords though.
