EZ CD creator cant load engine.
This is a discussion about EZ CD creator cant load engine. in the Windows Software category; I've searched for other threads, but no one seemed to have my problem. My problem is that when I try to run EZCD Creator 4. 02c, it says that it can't load Engine. I installed 4. 0 first then 4. 02c then rebooted.

I didn't catch your OS? If W2K you might want to go to the Adaptec site and wend your way down through the links to get the update to 4.02d. Works better than the "c" rev. under W2K.
But I have NEVER seen that particular message from EZ CD Creator before, so I'm not at all sure this will be a fix for you.
Have you installed anything recently, like Windows Medial Player 7?

have you tried uninstalling and resintalling EZ CD??

Sorry I didn't post enough info on the first post. I'm running Win2000 and yes I did uninstall and reinstalled the program. I'm going to try to install 4.0 then 4.02d and reboot. I hope this works.

make sure you patch in this order
4.0-4.02 reboot
4.02-4.02d reboot
if you use directCD you will probably have to apply the 4.02d patch twice. Its a pain to patch but i was having problems like that then i uninstalled and patched like that and it fixed it.

Thanks ThC 129, installing it the way you said did the trick. Thanks everyone else. Now all I need to do is burn a few cds.
