FATAL STRING
This is a discussion about FATAL STRING in the Windows Games category; Please can someone tell me what to do with this error. I have XPPro and new Dell computer, specs are high so no probs there but when i have downloaded Red Alert 2 and played it for awhile for some reason after a few days i go to play and it comes up with this error.

Any idea why all of a sudden this happens, i have changed the game so its not the disc?

If its downloaded as you say we cant help you, we don't deal with or encourage piracy, and that is probably your problem with the game, buy it and try it.

I havent downloaded it, i have bought the game and installed it. Sorry download was the wrong word. As i said in the original message i have changed the disc.
This may help.
If you have shortcut created for RA (If not, create), right-click it and select Properties. Then select "Compatibility" tab and select Windows 98/ME from "Run this program in compatibility mode for:". Click OK.

If it does not help, try up[censored] RA at least to version 1.006 and retry.

still having same problem, downloaded patches and changed compatability.
Oops, I'm sorry about that.
I'm not too sure about that problem, I've heard of people saying that they've had that problem and the only way they could fix it was to re-install the game, you might wanna try that, if the updates dont work.
