This is a discussion about FF7 problems on XP in the Windows Games category; hi i need help with some serious problems with Final Fantasy 7 on XP. . i have 2 problems. . . 1. i have a geforce 2 and i cannot run hardware accelaration on FF7 with XP 2. when entering chocobo races the game crashes everytime.

1. i have a geforce 2 and i cannot run hardware accelaration on FF7 with XP
2. when entering chocobo races the game crashes everytime...since i have to complete 1 race throughout the game and makes it unplayable...
How do i fix this ;(???

Try patching FF7 to v1.2 (the nvidia patch) - run ff7config but don't tick the "nvidia" box in the setup program. Hopefully it should allow you to select hardware acceleration without ticking the box.
