Hey I've been trying for days now to get FF7 ultima to work, here's what I'm using, first of all:
 
Windows 2000 professional
~1400 MHz Pentium
256 Mb ram
No graphics card AFAIK
 
So I'm using a LAPTOP, and I have (kind of) a numeric keypad, (using Fn key), but after Cloud gets off the train, if I try to press the menu button (in this case Fn+?), the game crashes instantly.
 
Also when I get into the first battle vs the two blue-uniformed soldiers, when one of them attacks me, the game crashes instantly.
 
I've been searching for the laptop patch and the "act" files for days now, but every single link to download these patches is long dead.
 
Can anyone advise me? Does anyone have any links to the patches that aren't dead?
