FIC AZ11E Motherboard

This is a discussion about FIC AZ11E Motherboard in the Feedback category; Serial Addiction has put up a review on the FIC AZ11E motherboard If you are familiar with the AZ11, FIC’s first Socket A motherboard then you definitely will notice a difference with the AZ11E. In an effort to increase stability FIC has spent a large amount of time optimizing the routing of traces.

If you are familiar with the AZ11, FIC’s first Socket A motherboard then you definitely will notice a difference with the AZ11E. In an effort to increase stability FIC has spent a large amount of time optimizing the routing of traces. Another big difference is the inclusion of a CNR slot, which is extremely odd, considering that the 686B South Bridge does not support CNR. I believe that FIC should have scrapped CNR and include another PCI slot, but obviously FIC has its reasons to include a CNR slot. The board includes onboard sound, which obviously doesn’t produce the greatest sound. The board also includes two fan headers, which isn’t sufficient enough for most overclockers, because it will only allow for two internal fans.
