FIC PA 2013 Win2K compatibility

On the compatibility page, someone reports this MB is Windows 2000 compatible with the explanation Download Windows 2000 compatible bios. Does anyone know where I can find such a bios. The latest from FIC is no help.

On the compatibility page, someone reports this MB is Windows 2000 compatible with the explanation "Download Windows 2000 compatible bios". Does anyone know where I can find such a bios. The latest from FIC is no help.

Specifically, the problem is networking: Locks up hard (reset only) when I attempt to install either of 2 ethernet cards:

Kingston EtherRx KNE110TX
Linksys EtherFast LNE100TX

Both of these cards work fine under 98SE.

I have installed all of the patches from FIC.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You need Via 4 in 1 patches. And Disable ACPI if enabled.

I have the special win2k bios from tech support somewhere on one of my cds back when i had this mobo. Now I think it requires you to have the version 2.0 of the mobo. I think.

OP
Thanks for the replies. I formatted the drive and tried a clean install. On the last reboot it locked up hard. Powered down and went to bed Fired it up the next day to see what condition my condition was in and lo and behold all was fine Loaded the USB patch and the 4 in 1 for good measure. Now on to XP 8)

Yeah I know my board is a dinosaur but it still gets the job done pretty well!
