This is a discussion about FIFA 2001 in the Windows Games category; HI Guys. I Just bought the Fifa2001, and i think it's the Ukcd. I've updated it, and what happens is: THe game runs just fine, but i can play only one game at time. I Play a game, then must save, then when i try to play the second game it kicks me back to desktop.

Install Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft.

Then open QfixApps, browse to your fifa exe and choose "Win95versionLie.dll". Click run.
It will work perfectly.

Same here with Geforce 2 Creative 6.34 driver (actully all creative drivers after this game is released) one match at a time. If you find fix pleas post TIA.
BTW, does anyone know how to change the refresh rate in this game, tried dxdiag but still 60hz in game.

Use the program from the link below to set your refresh rates in win2k for nvidia cards. Secondly try Nvidia 6.31 driver and QfixApps to run the game. It works perfectly here.

Thank you, but I don't think Creative ever released any driver based on 6.31 for W2K, oh well anyway hope future creative driver will fix this part.
dont use the creative drivers use the nvidia ones from zoiah HQ http://zoiah.m3dzone.com the 6.47 version is the best driver stability and performance wise to date.
I've got an ATI Radeon 64 MB and FIFA crashes to the desktop for me after every game. I tried the QFixApp idea but that didn't appear to work. Anyone have any other ideas?

The QfixApps, should work. Just check "Win95VersionLie.dll" and it should work.
I dont believe it doesn't work because I have tried it on 3 different machines with cards, Voodoo Banhsee, ATI All in Wonder, and my card Asus Geforce MX.
So, try that again and make sure you have all other compatibility updates including SP1.

Hey Miku, I'm sorry to say that I have both SP1 running and tried with the Win95VersionLie.dll to no effect. It doesn't appear that either is the resolution to the problem. I am also running FIFA with the latest updates (using the auto-updater). You wouldn't happen to have any other ideas or suggestions would you?

Try some other game, that normally wouldn't work well with win2k like fifa 2000.
Run that with QfixApps. Now if that one doesnt work, then there is a problem in your Application Compatibility Toolkit.
