Try running it in compatibility mode. Right-click the game executable or shortcut and select Properties. Compatibility tab.
Select Windows 2000.
Then select Shortcut tab:

I have the same problem.
When I set compatibility to Win 95 or NT /98, the program launches, but when I start the football game, it crashes to desktop - yes, many people had the same problem, but it probably ca be solved by setting compatibility to Win 2k.
But when I set Win 2000 compatibility, FIFA 2002 screen splashes (probably checking CD) and then just nothing happens - the program won't start (even before EA intro) and there is no process fifa2002.exe
So if I set Win 2k compatibility, the FIFA 2002 can't even start. Maybe it can't load the CD? But there is no error about un/original CD .
Any ideas to help me solve this problem, please? (btw I have original fifa 2002) Thank you!
