they work in Whistler, but not in Windows 2000.

Well Superbike doesnt' work in whistler too.
 
Fifa works in both perfectly fine. to run fifa in win2k use Application Compatibility Toolkit from Microsoft.

Hey jdulmage, Do a start/run/runcompat.exe I think you'll be suprises. There's your huge difference in Whistler compatibility. ;(

You want to install it just to ***** about it, then goto hell and go back to Windows 2000 or don't even install it until you know the pros and ****ing cons. ok, now back to the subject. miku, what settings in appcompat/qfixapp did you use to get fifa2000 to work. i've tried most but not all. i was hoping someone would know of a fix to save me the time of trying every setting.

In QfixApps, you just need to check on Win95VerLie.dll and Run.

I am talking about fifa 2k, must have compatiblitiy udpates. I have service pack 1 too.
 
If you are having problems with fifa2k1, use the same Qfix procedure.
 
Both works using QfixApps.

i have compat updates, sp1, etc. i'm beginning to think my problems are related to something else. when try to run game using windows95versionlie.dll i get a drwatson error. when i view the log, i see references to eax with faults. i think my soundcard may be to blame. i'll play around with it more later.
