File sharing
I tried installing this Debian version on both my Intel system and AMD system and it didn't work on either one. Both died in the process of trying to install software acrossed the internet. Even the main release has issues with finding my Intel Pro network card.
I have a 2 computers both windows XP and both connected on a ethernet network onto a linksys router. I need the right procedure so that I can access both my computers from any of the two computers. I tried once but got confused and I need easy to follow instructions and complete instructions.
Please Help..

Hi j0ckey, and welcome
A reputable source of xp info:

There are a few other factors to consider if you have tweaked your system or altered it from the default install. You will (may?!) need the correct services enabled on each xp pc. If you have no clue what I am talking about then the chances are you have never turned them off so all should be well
Actually it has just occured to me - this process will probably differ between Home and Professional versions of XP.
Anyhow another guide with pics may help:

You may have to configure 3rd party firewalls if u use them (ZoneAlarm etc.)
As far as your router is concerned, I imagine that you can leave it alone since it should just work....if not check the linksys forums
Kind regards,
S
