Final Fantasy 8 and geforce2 no compremendo

This is a discussion about Final Fantasy 8 and geforce2 no compremendo in the Windows Games category; The game runs fine, but the graphics are all garbled up. I have tried 21. 81 and 21. 83 but dont feel like going through the older drivers. Anyone else having problems? What board and what drivers?.

Have you patched FF8 with the correct patch (there are 2: one for GeForce cards and one everything else)?

It seems as if the same issue occured with my GeForce2 GTS under WinXP, using the 2181 and 2185 drivers. Had to go back to the old 1470 drivers for the graphical issues to go away. How do we tell Nvidia about this? Or do we tell EA?

Play around with the texel alignment settings in the GeForce properties tab. This will probably fix things.
