Final Fantasy 8 graphics issue
This is a discussion about Final Fantasy 8 graphics issue in the Windows Games category; I got final fantasy 8 PC version working under windows XP, but when I play there are horizontal lines about every inch across the screen. I have tried all of the 'compatability' modes, and have the latest drivers for my card and such.

Hey friend i see you got it working but your getting lines....
well to fix the lines you wil have to lower the hardware acceleration under display properties-advanced-Troubleshoot tab
lower the hardware acceleration there one bar at a time test the game and it should get better ...well it worked for me on my Nvidia Geforce 6600
.... but i still have a issue with the game i have black blocks in the game around main objects in the game its not very nice
well anyways i hope i have helped you

Browse to FF8 game dir.
Locate and launch FF8Config.exe.
Select Graphics tab. Select 'Direct3D Hardware Acceleration' as your Renderer. OK.
