Finding firmware for devices?

How do you find which firmware your devices are using for cdroms and such? I don't see it in the device manager like it was in win9x. Thanks, Erik.

How do you find which firmware your devices are using for cdroms and such? I don't see it in the device manager like it was in win9x.

ok im in need of the same thing
i saw this guy had same problem
 
i need 2 check the firm ware of my cd burner for cd text support (acer cd rom)
 
can some one point me in the right direction?

Usually the burning software reports it in the device characteristics. In Nero you can see it under "Drive Info" i think...
