Flash Drives. Fat file sytem.

This is a discussion about Flash Drives. Fat file sytem. in the Windows Hardware category; For my gimp school i recieved a 128 mb flash drive, i noticed it was the fat file system and with some recent understanding, ntfs format would give me more room, is there any way to change a flash drive's file system to ntfs from fat?

I wouldn't bother. Converting to NTFS wouldn't give that much more space, if any. Also NTFS keeps a log of activity on the drive, which would take up space and because of the log, you would have to use Safely Remove Hardware when disconnecting the device to make sure anything waiting in the write cache is written to the device.
