Folder view help

I dont remember how to change the view of ALL folders in explorer to 'list' instead of the big icons. ive done it before, just forgot how thanks!.

Gotta turn off "remember each folders view settings" before you select list!

Also, if you want to make all your folders to look the same: in the folder options: "view tab" choose: "like current folders". That makes all of your folders to look like the current one.

jerry, ok that didnt work. after i closed explorer and then opened it again, everything was back to big icons. so i tried unchecing remember... and then listed and then re checked remember. still doesnt work. defaults back to big icons.
 
andy, i thought that was how i did it last time, but that button is grayed out. this is very annoying

nevermind, i just figured it out. i found the 'folder option' by clicking tools in explorer and the button wasnt grayed out. i was looking at folder option in Control Panel and that ons is grayed out. feeling pretty stupid now.
