I have a divx film that i would like to play and when I do the sound messes up. I have installed the same divx codec on my girlfriends machine and played the movie on her pc (Duron 750/XP Pro). And it was fine.
I know its the fu!!ing game theater xp messing up. Im ready to send the frigging thing back.
But just as a matter of interest is anyone else having problems with this type of setup...?

Try turning down the sound acceleration to the second notch from the left. Even with the new drivers I have to do this. With the Live 5.1 and the latest drivers I still have to do this. I only hope that with the Audigy that I will not.....but I doubt it.

OP
Ive actually fixed the problem.. Im not really sure but its something to do with mediaplayer not initialising the sound properly. If I use winamp first and then start playing the movie and quit winamp everything is ok...

But the point is that I paid over £110 for this card because it was supposed to have hardware accelleration, and Im not happy with having to turn it down.
